Software requirements:

Microsoft® Windows® operating system (Windows® XP or higher, 32-bit or 64-bit). Windows 7® or higher is recommended
AudioSpike is shipped with tool scripts to interface between MATLAB® or GNU Octave and AudioSpike. To use this optional script interface MATLAB® or GNU Octave is required.

Hardware requirements:

Standard PC with recent hardware. The more power the computer has, the more channels and realtime evaluation windows can be handled simultaneously.
Soundcard with ASIO driver.
For recording electrode signals you will ususally need microphone pre-amplifiers (built-in or external) to reach sufficient signal levels or signal-to-noise ratios respectively. Additionally you might need impedance converters to adjust the electrodes impedance to the input impedance of sound cards.
